Vault Source Code Control

http://www.sourcegear.com/vault/index.html

A commercial product for windows.  Not opensource.

Referred to as a "compelling replacement for Visual SrouceSafe.

Seems to be command line only outside windows:  http://208.74.205.69/t5/Autodesk-Vault/vault-on-linux/td-p/1863863
To run the command line version under Linux you need to run Mono.

Seems to handle branches updates better than SVN:  http://www.sourcegear.com/vault/documentation/vault-vs-subversion.html

Could not find a good review of Git and Vault, but those discussing the issue prefer Git over Vault:  http://stoopad.com/2008/12/10/sourcesafe-to-vault-to-subversion-to-git/

Clear Case Cheat Sheet

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rational/library/836.html

This looks great.  However, it seems to be missing some things.  I see how to setup the configuration spec, but I don't see how to log into the system or how to specify the VOB.

This is for using ClearCase (CC) from a command line.

Recovering Files: Visual Source Safe

(From my "Stan Learns Visual Source Save" blog from Thursday, May 29, 2008)

Recovering file is VSS is no obvious.

Select the folder where you want to recover the file.

Select the 'File->Properties...' option.

Select the 'Deleted Items' tag.

Recover the deleted files.
